If I Had You

If I Had You

A Poem by ~Anita Sandlin~

The day I lost you,
I realized that I never had you.

If I had you,
you would have given up your
EX and made her move out.

If I had you,
you would have been proud
that I was your lady.

If I had you,
you wouldn't have wanted
to keep it all a secret.

If I had you,
you would have asked me
about what someone said
instead of believing everything
out of their mouth.

If I had you,
I wouldn't be hurting like I am.

The day I lost you,
I realized that I never had you.
