She was..

She was..

A Poem by Anita Singh

She was as beautiful as beauty can be
but never seemed to put much glee.
Every attractive thing about her,
from the way her clothes fit,
to her bright red lipstick.
Flattered her skin.
Seemed like a sin.
Like a flower pressed in a book for ages,
loved and must
but liable to fall to dust.

Oh! I cant believe people missed this work of yours. As for me, I absolutely loved it! Specially the lines: loved and must
but liable to fall to dust.

These lines fit in so damn well, Annabella!
