Distant Star

Distant Star

A Poem by Anne Timmins

Make me a home in your heart
and furnish it with humble,
hand-made things. A sturdy
wooden chair or two,
a throw-rug woven
of the weaver’s love and wit.

And let me sit in there with you
and watch the light change
through the window.
The blessed light.
The warmth of a distant star.

good imagery, living in the heart, window and warm light, and the distant star, looking beyond our places and positions in life.

Simple, express, poignant, and lovely depiction of your desires. As the saying goes, "Simplicity is beauty." Well done.
