It’s been close to a year

And yet the words still play

Still close to my heart

The way I loved you still hurts

But not more than when I left you

The unthinkable part of the dark

And know now why it cannot be

This is me moving on

It takes a lot of strength and courage to carry on, when all you really want to do is cry. Perhaps that isn't such a selfish thing to do any more...it gets the pain all out, enabling us to heal!

Thank you Kelly :) There was a quote I remember from somewhere. It goes, "We should cry, while we still can." I don't think it's entirely selfish to cry too. We really should. It's one way of letting go and living again.

And what does it really men to move on, a difficult concept I have come to understand. But, new flames hopefully overwhelm the old ones.

beautiful write...it is so hard to move on when our heart is broken ..time does help heal it... but you have to take steps each day putting one foot in front of the other until you have left it miles behind you !
