Measure of Existence

How do you prove your existence?

If when I leave,

will you remember me?

 

If when I’m gone,

will you shout my name?

 

For when I’m not there,

would I have made any difference?

 

If when I die,

would I have existed somewhere?

I have to admit, this is something I think about quite often - when I'm gone am I gonna leave anything behind, have I made an impact even if on just one person etc. I'd like to think that I have but how can I be completely sure.

Yes, no one is really sure of anything. I guess, in a sense it's similar to knowing if you really exist or not? Either way, in the reality I live in you exist, and to me you, your poems, and you as a person has left something in me. I don't know if that counts for anything, but I thought you should at least know :) Anyway, thank you so much :)
