"Bread Crumbs"

"Bread Crumbs"

A Poem by AnnenonieMous

It might be clues left on the scene.
The clumsy track of the thief.
It might be Hansel's idea, or Gretel's,
To find their way back home.

But maybe it wasn't.
Maybe, bread crumbs are just bread crumbs,
On my busy full mouth.
For you to gently wipe off
And send butterflies all over my stomach.
