Inspired by Serpent's piece "You complete me" http://www.writerscafe.org/writing/serpent_eyes/648649/

"

There is something most beautiful

in the sunrise today

dawn spreading golden hallowed wings

of thou angels

a fresh virgin summer breathing new life

into our broken kiss

the solid cold of eternal ice epoch in thaw

slowly dripping

but the pillow remains a desertscape, dry

for this very reason

untouched by the onslaught of raging inner

storms absent

you knew

that you’d always be a part of me

you always knew

that you complete me, right?

eyes no longer burn from the constant ebb

of turbulent flow

mind no longer stained by the relentless rules

of incessant pain

familiar cinnamon flavors float infusing the air

in fragrance of thou skin

I feel the heated singe upon my enduring flesh

that of thou touch

and commit another adored memory to infinity

ready in remembrance

to embrace anew when I release, break free

from cursed solitude

you knew

that you’d always be a part of me

you always knew

that you complete me, right?

I wish that I could lie with you today

hold you in slumber

under ancient shapes sculpted in skies

protect you from life

I want to ride with you to the lost arc

travel beyond eternity

I want to feel your breath fill my lungs

inhaling you

I see your smile through lids closed tight

to reality

I hear your beat rhythmically drumming

within my chest

you knew

that you’d always be a part of me

you always knew

that you complete me, right?

Let me hold your soft hands highly revered

never let me go

when I crave your whispers upon my brow

talk to me

let your laughter explode into thunderous joy

jolting me awake

may your eyes carve immortal messages

scribed upon my being

soar amongst the angels and do not weep

you are safe

allow me to sing you a song in final lullaby

while you sleep

peacefully, forevermore

goodnight

love

Tragic is the unexpected loss of a soulmate, but true love lingers well beyond the borders of infinity or mortality.
This piece was inspired by Serpent's heartfelt write "You complete me" http://www.writerscafe.org/writing/serpent_eyes/648649/ I tried to capture the emotion from the view of the one left behind and therefore incorporated thoughts, some words used in the original compilation.

I have never lost a soul mate but I have seen people who have and if they were older the one left behind doesn't go on living for much longer which only supports the idea of a soul mate. I love this write of yours, like the others it is powerful with a message.

the loss of a soulmate is a tragic one .. but worse is when someone had promised to be there , someone whom you had realised to be the sole sharer of your soul , leaves you .. i know the pain and the anguish .. i can perfectly relate to the emptiness that you have expressed , the wishes and the undying hope . beautiful write dear friend
