I Love You

I Love You

A Story by Annie.x

It had to be said, so I said it. "I love you." And in that moment we both fell apart, picking up each other's pieces frantically. We were both so empty, but she made me feel something. And I wanted to make her darkness a little brighter. She always told me she loved my smile, I wish I had seen hers more. I never wanted her to feel alone, for I was always there. And on a late night she told me, "I'll always be with you." I didn't know what that meant then. I can still hear her voice now, how I wish I could explain her beautiful voice. I loved her, I still do. And when death took her it took me too. It dragged me into the ground with her, and I willingly went. I didn't wanna let go, so I didn't. "I love you too," she told me that night. And so I hold onto our past as if it never stopped existing.

Very tender, romantic, in a melancholy kinda way. Nicely done.
