A Dying Rainstorm

A Dying Rainstorm

A Poem by Kory

I Lay In Shady Grass Fields Where A Dying Rainstorm Begins

Shivering With The Wind That Continues To Speak Silently

Small Tear Drop Rain Shards Sparkle Upon My Skin

As The Clouds Remove Thier Darkness, Becoming Ancient Again

Thunder Becomes A Silent Peaceful Tune, Still Thinking In Mysterious Ways

A Faded Gravestone Reveals Itself To An Unwanting Sky

Dust Cover Its Sadness, As It Sits Motionless Next To Its Dying Grass Fields

Softly The Rain Begins To Wash The Stones, As I Lay Next To Them

A New Storm Begins, In Unknown Illusion

Washing The Simple Things, Unchanging The Spoken Word Misused

My Breath Shortens With A Loss To Live

Closing My Eyes...As The Final Tear Runs From The Clouds
