Innocent Hand

Innocent Hand

A Poem by Kory

Laying Next To The Windows Reflection

You Watch The World Move In Recession

Sitting Still With The Wooden Table Before You

Letting Your Body Rest From Fortifying Resemblence

Sun Shines On The Tiles, Counting Them One By One

Smoke Stains Fill The Ceiling With Cancer

As The Patients At Table 9 Await Their Order

Not Able To Afford The Paycheck On Quilted Notepads

Moon Trembles With A Mixture Of Faces

Shown To You At Dawns Trembling Fingers

Reaching For You Only To Fade Into The Distance

Sinking Into Unamed Oceans Beside Your Mixtures

As The Graveyard Looks Less Depressing

Grass Covered With Fields Of Tears

Stones Naming Thoughts Forgotten By Quickwords

Only Known By The Dreams Chosen By Dark Angels

Floating On The Cemented Doorsteps

Only For Them To Be Painted With Unsuspected Blood

Caused By The Innocent Hand

Angered By A Thought, That Was Forgotten With A Bullet

As The Metal Is Tightened On His Wrists, "Trial Pending"

If He Rots Slowly, Or In A Second

Slamming Metal Cages Closed One By One

Lights Shimmer Than Dim Quietly

As He Searches The Windows, For A Sight Never To Be Seen...Willingly...
