Monsters

crawl through my heart

teasing my brain

filling it with these occasional thoughts

becoming more frequent day to day

frightening me so much

every word i say

comes out in a hushed rush

 

maybe I'm falling apart

this is so insane

I'm becoming so distraught

I don't know the right words to murmer

and I cringe from the slightest touch

what am I supposed to do?

I wish this monsters

would just shush!
