A short, lovely poem about hope

Fair was thy maiden

Fair was thy maiden, 

And fair was her love

But the truth is not always fair

And her love shriveled to dust

 

It seemed she had everything;

From gold to looks

But she could never find

A man she could trust

 

She had looked everywhere,

With no such luck

For it seemed that never

Was thy man good enough

 

Fair was the maiden,

And fair was her love

The fair lady could not find love,

But fair as she was,

She would never give up.
