I am a Sinner

"I am a sinner,

my sins are hunting me,

like a dog's tail,

won't leave me be.

I am a broken jar filled with flames,

that burned my feet.

My sins are incorrigible.

The healing won't abide

and won't prosper.

I am broken and flammable.

Completely cynical.

Within me,

birds don't tweet,

don't sing,

don't breed.

It's like an interminable spell,

had been cast upon me,

an inscrutable thirst,

for something to graze,

to ruse and disdain,

for I am a sinner,

for all I have ever been,

is a speck of a flame,

for all I would become is dust,

an earth's crust,

or an ash of a once so called a flame."
