She the Ambition

She the Ambition

A Poem by Anti Phalanx

I chased her down a hall of glass,
Fragile & subdued,
She the sky & I the soil,
My dream in solitude.

I was so far but She so close,
My reach within her grasp,
Somewhere in the stars or in her clothes,
I chased for a conclusion.

I galloped down the hall,
Yet gravity took hold.
A powerful fall,
Fate had been sold.

The glass hall had broke,
She had vanished into yonder,
I had a fallen,
Through the glass hall.
Now facing a wall,
Not very tall.

Still where I was,
Just somewhere else.

Surrealistic images in this fantasy write. Halls of glass......one's life under the microscope? Not sure, but this one did make me think and that is always a good thing. Lydi*
