She is my mirror

She is my mirror

A Poem by CA Anurag Sharma
"

I get worried when I see her getting older

"

I get worried when I see wrinkles on her face,

I get tense when I see her tiring a lot,

She brought me into this world,

She taught me the first words,

With her I still feel the most secure,

Putting my head in her lap I find the ultimate comfort,

She is more happy than me when I succeed,

When I fail she is my genuine well wisher,

Although in her heart she gets more disappointed,

But she never wants me take failure to my heart

When I feel let down from anything,

I feel so good when I look myself through her eyes,

Her smiling face when she wakes me up in the morning,

Gives me a new zeal to fight from every mourning,

I don’t believe in God,

But I certainly believe in her,

For her I am a super hero,

For me she is my best friend,

But when I see her getting older,

I fear even at the thought of losing her,

She is my mirror, she is my mother.

You are welcome...:)......................
Its very natural to start worrying when we see that our loved ones - who we thought immortal when we were kids - (if we ever thought of their mortality at all) - gtetting old/getting ill
Our own mortality comes into question and compounds the worry like a hammer on a nail.
The love in this is evident Anurag

my mother was like this for me too...lost her last September---
there is that fear...and it makes us realize our weakness and our immortality.
