The Rebound

The Rebound

A Poem by Anthony

Nobody else wanted me,
Only wanted what I could be.
They left my heart in pieces
While the wounds bled.

Who would truly want me?
Who would truly be proud?
To call themselves mine?

Only on the rebound will i catch a glance,
and it pierces my heart as a lance.
They only want a doll,
They don't truly want me at all.

Why do they toy with my mind?
Even though I'm already in a bind.
My heart is torn.
It lies in pieces.

The rebound is all I am.

They just want someone,
Who cares who?
They'll love me....
Til they don't need me..
The trail of tears never ceases,
My heart lies in pieces..
As I stay..

Only a rebound love..

That's so sad, Sedohr! I hope that your luck changes! I know exactly how you feel. Thanks for expressing a feeling of being used and being sort of the second choice. I've been there (heck, I'm there right now!) but have never really been able to put words to it.
