another chance

another chance

A Poem by Vincent

what would you do if you had another chance?
would you waste it away, or would you take it and dance?
would you take it with silence as the noise of your days,
or would you take it, and tell what you've always wanted to say?

would you take it, leave it, or be left undecided,
or would you fight your battles alone, or fight undivided?
would you comfort loved ones, or distance yourself for your own sake,
or would you be real, insead of an everlasting fake?

it's almost time, your decision had come,
will you be smart, or will you succumb?
your decision must be what you desire, honest and true,
but consider, your loved one's desires too.

will you take this second chance, and start life anew,
or do you think that your journey is over and through?
there are many people waiting, and without further ado,
the outcome of this chance is only up to you.

Others too would like a second chance, to go back and still know what you know now. If I could go back, I would make sure the last year of my late husband's life was spent being together more and loving more. We had gotten so busy with our jobs and raising kids that we didn't have must time for each other. Something I truly would love to have a second chance on. There I am rambling again, sorry. Beautifully written. I love the way it flowed, you did a great job.
