A Place My Own

A Place My Own

A Poem by Applesause
"

Just a quick poem I whipped up...

"

Sometimes I wish

I could escape;

I wish to travel far.

To have a world,

A place, my own

To dream,

A realm bizarre.

I wish to fly,

I wish to soar,

To look down on the clouds.

And maybe then,

Somehow I’ll see,

The truth,

That life surrounds.

Like Alice,

In her wonderland;

Like Peter Pan,

In Neverland.

I wish to have,

A place, my own,

I wish a place,

To call my home.
