A Dance In Tandem

A Dance In Tandem

A Poem by Draven

I hold your hand in mine,
Feel the softeness of your fingers
As we dance the waltz of time.
Our eyes lock, portals of memory depicting
the days of grime we've crawled through
To moments with rays of shine and I'm...
I'm lost in you, yet I found myslelf
In the shades of ocean blue.
You waited out on the horizon,
I found a man that I can take pride in
Emerging from the darkness
That permeates my soul.

The sun sets on a chapter of our lives,
Together we watch a new day rise.
You spin and I admire the glimmer in your eyes
And the warm glow of your smile.
I watch, letting go, you drift away awhile.
I'm captivated, you sway like a leaf in a breeze
Before floating back to me,
Into my waiting arms.
I thank the stars for the privilege
It is to hold you, to feel your heart with mine.
