Silver Meaning

Silver Meaning

A Poem by Draven

I look down to the ring
that rests in my palm.
It shines bright silver
in the sunlight.
Memories flood back to me:
The day that we met.
Our first kiss.
The nights we spent
walking through the park.
The first time we made love.
The day of our wedding.
The birth of our two children.
It all seems so real to me.
Almost like I'm
reliving each moment a second time.
I try to grasp hold of them,
but they slip away into the darkness.
Those days are gone.
All I have left is my ring,
and the constant wonder
of where you are now
and why you left.
The silver is like a reflection
of the life I once had.
A life with you.

Nice picture of a life once had and lost.

The memories lead to the death of someone. The loss of memories comes crumbling down almost like a surreal dream. I love this poem for that. Wonderful job. :)
