Naked

Naked

A Poem by Lydia Thacker

I close my eyes
And, to you,
I sing my heart.
Love, pain,
Fear happiness -
All yours, My King,
For the taking.

My soul laid bare,
I stand before you
 - Naked, vulnerable.
You kiss me softly
And smile,
Then dress me
In all that I offered.

You clothe me
In your strength,
Surety, love:
I take your hand.
