Lunar Shores

Lunar Shores

A Poem by Lydia Thacker

Shadowed voices,
Lamplight cannot illuminate,
Lines on the wall,
Pouring down.

Sky blue,
Sunset hues,
Standing here
Next to you

Dark hair,
Kissable lips
Taste of wine,
Feel like roses.

Walking hand-in-hand
Along lunar shores,
We look up;
I feel at home.

Darkness consumes us.

The light from your eyes
Shows me where I belong.

We dance faster.
