The Frogs Croak

The Frogs Croak

A Poem by Archia

Away in the hilltops among the dear frogs,
lies a golden girl,
all cast in fog.

She sighs as she slumbers,
not knowing the time,
nor hearing the soft castle bell chime.

She knows not to hope,
for the bright new day,
when a prince will come to where she does lay.

And with a soft kiss,
he'll awaken her mind,
opening her eyes to the world outside.

But for now she still lies,
cast deep in fog,
sleeping away to the croaks of the frogs.
