Daywatchers

Daywatchers

A Poem by Ivy

Anxious yellow Soldiers

With green epaulets

Stand alert

Our silent garden sentinels

Gazing ever upward

To search The Heavens

For Sage or Savior

With one wide eye.

Hey, I like it. Buddhist precepts prohibit monks from destroying plants because other life forms depend on it. Bit you didn't want to hear that. :)

Anyways, I like the imagery here. It's superb and surreal. So what's the lesser of the sage? Is it not a student? Dosnt the disciple surpass the master always? However, I speak in paradigms. Forgive me.

Anyways, great work amiga :)

so descriptive of our lovely sunflowers. Light and airy...your poem is like a flower petal that resides on the subject you write about!
