Celestial Guardian

Celestial Guardian

A Poem by Arcus

A tranquil twilight bathed her in starlight as she danced

It was then that I beheld her radiant splendor,

Untainted by the sins and desires of the world

Were it not for my own trepidation, perhaps I could have danced with her

But I dared not to infect her with my voraciousness,

For her resplendent wonder was beyond my fortitude to grasp;

A true blessing upon the world for all to behold, and none to keep

Her wings were spread, and my, how she soared

Simply beautiful! To me, this had a very, VERY Edgar Allen Poe tone to it.
