Death

Death

A Poem by ArebiIsNotOnFire
"

This is a poem that I wrote for my English class. It's alright, I suppose, and I thought I should share it with you.

"

Never-ending pain

Drawing the life from a single soul

Strangling, cutting off life itself.

Struggling until buried in a hole.

Freezing a soul into a frigid, dark submission

Cold winds suffocate and choke

The struggle-- it soon ceases

The soul laying still under a lifeless cloak

Sleeping for eternity

The soul lies beneath

Silent cries--

Screaming to breathe.

Wow, very powerful! Definitely another dark poem that you can feel the emotion through it. I love the line "Freezing a soul into frigid, dark submission", something about this line speaks to me. Very good job!

this is really quite deep and dark. i feel a sense of loneliness and desperation. like the soul is still trying to live while the body is dead. its thought provoking. really great work.
