![]() The GirlA Poem by Ari_isnt_important![]() Sorry for any bad grammar :/![]() "Paper Wings" She sits alone with tangled hair, A quiet gaze, a vacant stare, Crayons dull, but dreams so bright" She draws the stars in morning light.
A castle high, a stage, a crown, She sees the world, but feels weighed down. Barefoot in the dirt she stands, With kingdoms folding in her hands.
The grown ups talk, their voices cold, Of things too harsh for her to hold. They see her small, and nothing more Not who she is, or what she's for.
She builds with blocks a hopeful land, A world that listens, understands. But every time she starts to soar, The silence knocks upon her door.
She whispers dreams no one can hear, In rooms that echo doubt and fear. Yet in her chest a fire stays, A spark that hums through shadowed days.
Though no one sees the wings she grew, They're stitched with thread of “one day” true. And when she breaks, she doesn’t shatter Her dreams still fly, and that’s what matters. © 2025 Ari_isnt_importantAuthor's Note
