A Symbol of Love

A dream really, but a nice one, nonetheless.

There’s a symbol of love, you have given to me.

A simple little thing that stays on my left hand.

A tiny little symbol made of emeralds and gold.

Yet, this symbol reminds me of a love when I need to be told.

 

You placed it on my hand with the intention of forever.

But what defines forever?

Is it as long as we live?

Or is it until you grow tired of my presence?

 

Those negative thoughts always fill my mind.

Until, I glance at my left hand.

That tiny little metal circle is all I need

To remind,

Of the love you have for me.
