a love affair

This little thing is not part of the collection. This is just something that...sprang out of boredom if I must be honest. I had nothing to do one night and the moon was huge. Enjoy.

-a love affair-

A gentleman is the darkness 

courting the moon with feather touches,

tempting her with clouds of tears

and the air's slow breaths

And the white mistress succumbs 

to love alluring and new 

and thus becomes the heart

of a thousand night skies

and serves as a guiding light 

to the lovers of the earth 

for they too lust after

her lover's secret advances...

Author's Note

I don't really have much to add about this. It is something spontaneous, without structure or...genre for that matter. I just kind of wrote it and liked it. Read, get inspired and review, if you would be so kind.
