Freedom

Freedom

A Poem by Aries1984
"

An Easter poem. And yet another one of my old, forgotten pieces.

"

My cold heart whipped your back

My thoughts pierced your head

My deed’s nailed your feet and hands

For my sins your blood was shed.

For my past, present, and future

You died so I can live

You were at my heart’s door

Waiting to forgive.

My sins crucified you

And yet you still love me

I don’t even deserve to live

But you did this to set me free.

Thank you for the cross.
