My Love For You

It's as if

the colors of the sky

mold together,

creating something beautiful

-amazing,

but no eyes are there

to see it. It's as if

 the water flows and melts

 across the rocks in

 perfect harmony with

 the wind that

 forever will yearn

 to express itself,

but no ears are there

 to hear it. It's as if

 the gracious arms of

 the trees

 lend beautiful, soft

 flowers from their grasp

 to calm the weary man's

 rough skin,

 but there are no hands

 to feel their gentle

caress. It's as if

the perfect flower

has sprouted and

 produced the perfect

nectar

mixed with a honey sweet drop

of dew from

the purest morning,

but no tongue or throat is there

 to enjoy its rejuvenating

 taste. It’s as if

the calmest, most gentle

rain

has fallen

from the highest heavens,

broken by

the dancing sun

so that only scents

of freshness and

rejuvenating life

make the air,

but there is no nose

to breathe in its

strength.

This is my love

for you.

Beautiful,

yet unnoticed

- ignored.

To all others,

nonexistent.

I really enjoyed the imagery, some really wonderful stuff. The whole thing is a testament to not knowing these things, these metaphors for unrequited love--like there's a phone call, but no one on the other end. Very sad, though.
