Crave

Crave

A Poem by Artemisia

   Crave

The look of your eyes
that pierced so deep inside my soul,
created a hypnotizing craving,
which has left me
in a daze,
motionless,
and sleepless for days.

I felt a pinch of ecstasy,
In that intensity
of eye meeting eye,
soul caressing soul,
heart jumping for joy,
as it pulsated
with every exchange of glances,
sharply, blissfully, seductively –
I crave your eyes….

Sheerly intense!
This is a wonderful write.
I love your passion and the way your words weave their spell.
The eyes truly are the window to the soul.
Your expressive words have caught my breath and held me enthralled.
Wonderful.

Wow, amazing. Your poem reminds me exactly of a poem I wrote a while back. I'm going to post it so you can look at the likeness. We must have been on the same page. By the way, you'll have to forgive the lack of enjambment in this poem, I wrote it when I never knew such sequences existed! ;)

"love lie"

Everything my life revolved around suddenly became irrelevant,
His structure, His stance, His aura, were like the sun,
And I the rain turning into vapor,

Vanished was the attention that I had placed on each moment of the day,
Replaced with this lingering sensation pulsing through my veins,
My heart seems to have been replaced by a clock ticking 20 seconds too fast,
And my blood seems to be a boiling bath,

Who are you?
And what have you done to my soul?

Your image has a pull stronger than 10 men,
But it was your honesty that tried to reel me in,
You were able to look me straight in the eyes,
I was able to look deep inside,
And you did well to hide your lies,
Deep Deep Deep inside your eyes,

Your inner being showed out,
And there I stood without a doubt,
I took your hand, and it grabbed my soul,
Nothing more symbolic than this could have ever been foretold

Strangely I thought the best lines were the same as chosen by Bubo. I was actually going to send her this poem until I realised she had already reviewed it! I think her review is better than anything I could come up with as well!

I loved the intensity of feeling that you have created with this. Really makes me want to look into someones eyes right now.....but I've only got the computer!

Thanks for writing

Oh yes........I know this feeling, when your left thinking of little else, but it consumes you...........a wonderful poem, of something only close lovers can share.
