My Journey

My Journey

Guided along by the light of the moon
I find my way as it grants me its traveler's boon
I search the darkend mists of present
Dreaming of future's light resplendent
Looking for my one and only true
Around every bend, behind every rock may lay a clue
Traveling a broken and tattered road
Stumbling beneath the heavy load
I want nothing more than to find my rest
For I know that is what I will find with you, my dearest
Slowly dispersing through the misty vale
To my front, treacherous crags with winds do wail
Ascending high above the mist into the clouds
I continue my journey into the shivering shrouds
Slippery foothold after slippery foothold
Fearing I may die from the intense cold
My only warming thought is you
And with that I endure on through
With each step my legs jelly and my arms weary
How can I go on my minds query
Will I reach the top, will I find you, my love
Only time will tell, and that is on the wings of a dove
