Morning Star's Descent

Morning Star's Descent

A Poem by Asderathos

MORNING STAR’S DESCENT

I swallow back the tears
For all you've said untrue
Why would you fall from grace?
When soaring is so easy to do
What compels your descent?
When all you'd need's right here
Once you've touched the ground
You never will return, I fear
Please come back before... It's Too Late!
He Will Strike you down
And hold you to your fate
You've chosen for yourself
To fall when you could fly
To lie when you could pray
Morning Star I cry
For your death
Though you still live
But to meet your gaze
Would be to share your fate
It's far too late, It's too late
