Danger

Danger

A Poem by Asenath

F**k
How do you force yourself to stay away from him
Every time I am ready to let him go
He comes back
Like he knows
He knows
I do not have the power to refuse him
For my body will not let me
I can control what goes on in my mind
But my heart
My heart betrays me every time
Even right now I am staring at his number
Dear God I pray I do not call
My fingers keep moving to tap the screen
Back and fourth
Back and fourth
Back and fourth
Keeping in tune with my heartbeat
Boy
Not boy I mean man
I can not discredit your manhood
Because you do not feel the same
Maybe
Possibly
I don’t know
Maybe I do
But I don’t want to accept it
Or maybe you do feel the same way
But you don’t know how to express it
The distance is keeping your emotions at bay
Maybe if you were here you would show me how you feel
But then again I don’t know
But im hoping
Like I said a girl can dream
And I do dream
Laying on your chest after our heated moment
Running my hands on your skin like it’s a map to my forever
You tightening your hold on me because you don’t believe were are here
Whispering I love you
I love you
S**t
I can even count your heartbeats
Its dangerous
You are dangerous

I feel that this piece of writing is so relatable, and so enticing also! You've portrayed really well what its like to be absolutely crazy about someone and not knowing if they're on the same page.

Really love this, thanks for sharing :)
