The End

The End

A Poem by Joy Murphy
"

The end of a relationship.

"
Pain of my existence,
Am I only here to be ignored?
Speak around me,
Thoughts compound me,
Still you should some more.
Silence.
You weren’t speaking to me.
I just take up space,
Rid of me.
You keep talking about
My space, as if I
Didn’t exist.
Will you be happy
When I am finally gone?
Will you even remember
What a burden I was?
Maybe I am already gone.
Not mental.
Just not yours to demand;
Command.
Dark.
Silence.
Existing in only
This mere moment.
Gone.
Strife.
Taken from me;
Destroyed.
Should I destroy
What you value most,
Above all other things.
I could do that
But you know I won’t.
You don’t even know me,
But you know that.
Scream.
Claw.
Madness.
God, this is such bliss.
