I Still Live In You

I Still Live In You

A Poem by AshGrey

Do my wet pillows and hollow eyes
Prove my love to you?
Do my trembling lips catch your eyes
Whenever I see you?
I know I was the one
Who ended our world.
I'd thought it wouldn't be that hard
To be the broken girl.
Boy, I was wrong.
Cause I live in your memories
Refusing to let go.
Afraid to lose your face.
I'm afraid to be alone.
So I live
Yes, I live
I still live in you.
What I wouldn't give to have you still
Hold me in your arms.
I would kill to have you by my side
And make me realise.
Boy, I can't breathe.
Cause I live in your memories
Refusing to let go.
Afraid to lose your face
I'm afraid to be alone.
So I live
Yes, I live
I still live in you.
I will breathe you.
Love you.
Live in you.

beautifully written. I felt every word of your hurt on this page. It is an echo of my own mistakes and is spoken not in anger and confusion, but in the silent sigh of recognition at what you have lost.
beautifully penned. Thank you for sharing.
