The Autumn Moon

The Autumn Moon

A Poem by StormWriter

As the moon rises high above the clouds,
The tears drip free from my eyes
Shinning bright in the autumn moons glow
My shoulders fold forward and the strength leaves my body.

My back once strong and unbend able.
Bends over my shaking knees.
I feel the pushes and insults from the day.
Everyone wanting something from me.

Screaming shouting laughing pushing
No stop in sight
But as the dark comes over the world and the only light is the moon.
I know it's safe to be me.

I can cry and feel without the judgement from people
Creaks in the facade that once covered me
People don't see the real me and that's how I want it to stay.
