What I would do if I had wings

Stuck in a world
Where she does not belong
Shes dreamed of wings
To try to escape it all

Get away from her parents
A great source of her pain
Fly to places
Where she could be who she wants to be

Fly so fast
She could escape or at least outrun her memories
The torment of a broken mind
Her past that tries to define her

Go to San Francisco
New York
Maybe LA
Somewhere to start over

With wings she could be famous
Help her become the singer she's always dreamed
Make a difference in this world
Instead of causing all sorts of problems

The world has so many people
Maybe instead fly to the moon
Leave the past behind her
And live among the stars

She deserves to shine
