Close My Eyes

Quick write I just did. Thought it was worth sharing

If I close my eyes

The monsters may come

But maybe everything else can be alright

If I close my eyes

The scars may disappear

And maybe there will be less pain

If I close my eyes

I may be entering a war zone

But things might not be so screwed up 

If I close my eyes

Maybe peace will come

Maybe the deep wounds will heal

But when I closed my eyes

Nothing changed

Nothing faded away

You can't wish away this pain

Because closing my eyes

Isn't what's needed

What's needed is a miracle

That cannot be found
