Hidden beyond the depths of sadness

Hidden beyond the depths of sadness

A Poem by Ashinna

I close my eyes

Trying to forget every picture,

every memory,

Just.... Everything.

Sitting in the cold, each blast of wind pierces my skin.

so black, so terrifying.

Please just let me escape.

Give me the strength to stop throwing myself at these horrid walls

Stinging so perfect

Every scar reopened

"Breathe" I scream

but no air escapes nor has been taken in

Isolated from the actual world.

I .. Want.. To ...Escape.

But Can I?

Wow. The emotion is incredibly strong here. I feel that you (or your persona) is caught up in a gale storm. I wonder how this would look or feel if you changed "I" to a lower case "i". Do you think that would be too cliche, or do you think that minimizing the i would intensify the storm? I like the pauses in the second last line. Did you intentionally use 2 dots then 3? It's unusual and catches my eye. The spacing changes too, which also changes how I read the print. Neat.
