Keep Me Not

My mind is fighting battles with itself.
My heart is intolerable,
it can't seem to let certain people go.
They hang on
like I have the strength
to hold all of what
they have dragged me through.
I am covered in untold truths
I will shed myself
from them soon.

Wow, I like the concept of shedding yourself of the people who have done you wrong like a snake sheds its skin. I am not saying you are a snake, I just really like that line of thinking. Here's hoping you shed them once and for all. Nicely done Ashley
