my window

my window

A Poem by darkness*star1985

The one that sits near my window looks out upon a night
doesn't move not even a flicker, like a statue
besides in day light not insight, sitting on my stool
i sit and watch this silent stone, wonder what this
poor lost soul was thinking, upon night after night
just looks out the window into the night
the only thing that tells me he is real
is the single tear that leeks from his eyes
not even sure he feels it rolling down
his cheek, once i caught the tear
still nothing from the single touch

Then out of the blue of the moonlight
he appeared as usual but instead of sitting
in the spot by the window he stood
staring just right at me
this was new and fear hit me like a stone
unable to move, to scared to panic
i stood frozen like a statue,
he move towards me
and whisper an a smoothing tone
where is she? where is my love
no sure what to say, i just stood there
unable to talk when he disappeared
but when he returns just like before
back sitting at the window looking out
in the night, when my chance for me to
hear him speak, i will have the answer
to the single question and but
this sad soul back where it belongs.
