Static in My Head

This is for my Best Friend, Izzy. Who I've been missing lately...

All alone, with the static in my head.

My empty heart, fills with dread.

I have to be frank, I miss my best friend.

 

All alone, I cry dark tears.

Cradling my bruised heart.

I know I shouldn’t take it personally,

But the silence is deafening.

 

In the dark, I sit alone.

Think of memories, still unknown.

I miss your voice, on the telephone.

I can not stand, being alone.

 

All alone, radio silence in my head.

My empty heart feels dead.

I have to be frank, I miss my best friend.
