A wish to the Stars

An old chapter of my life A heartfelt wish of the past That started up some time ago And (perhaps) has come to end at last...

Remember that time?

When you first showed me the stars?

You looked deep into my eyes

And held me in your arms

Up on the roof we stood still

Gazing up and high

At sparkling little dots

Decors* of the night

It was then right at that time

That I smiled from within

Cause I knew that I’d be safe

For our love would always win

The wonder seemed too weird

A foreign place to be

Yet soon I let my guard down

Breathed it all, let it in

It was wonderful, unique

Too good a dream to be

And soon I was surrounded

By a love I always willed

You were everything, my world

A place I’d never known

The purest side of life

A heart that felt like home

And yet that love was ruined

By me driven away

I know I wasn’t ready

But I wish it would have stayed

Just tell me how, tell me

What is needed to be done

I’ll do anything I swear it

I’ll bring the world upside down

For you showed me what was missing

You completed all my being

I wanted to be better

To have you stand by me

So I pray now to the moon

I beg her to bring you back

That your eyes would meet my gaze

And your heart would beat nonstop

Seems like a poem about you doing anything to win back a lost loves affection. It's actually quite beautiful and I love the structure of your poems.
