crocodile

crocodile

A Poem by shahida.manha

Once I saw a Crocodile,
I was frightened lost my smile,
I quickly ran away not standing for a while,
When I saw a crocodile.

better than if i ran up to him
and he trimmed my brim
with his jaws made my body more trim
because of my stupid whim.

This is a sweet little verse that reminds me of a few 4-liners that I've written. They're dear to my heart, probably because they are so short. I like the same ending, "crocodile," in the 1st and last lines. The 2nd line is written in just the language that a child would use, "I....lost my smile." And the smile WAS lost in the face of the menacing creature. This child was not petrified stiff, as I'd be.
