I am a Woman

I am a Woman

A Poem by Asma Siddiqui
"

An anecdote of a broken woman undergoing emotional turmoils.

"

“All my yens and dreams shattered,

My heart sank and totally splintered,

I am a woman and perhaps this is my mistake.

Made of impassive structures, my feelings are at stake,

my orbs are oozing droplets of limpid water;

I live a solitary life, without a partner or a pater.

I am damaged, absolutely ruined,

I am broken, totally broken,

my happiness and desires are floating in air,

If you want to do anything fair,

Collect my pieces from sultry air."
