Optimism

A Poem by Xanthous Crow

Oh,
It is hard to stay happy
When you aren't given reason to be

How fragile optimism is.....
Like bones.

This can be very true. Although the end line somewhat confuses me, but also gives way to a new look at this. Like this: Saying optimism is fragile like bones, I begin thinking you mean it is normally fragile, such as glass. But then I think about it and maybe you are being oxymoronical by saying it is fragile like bones, yet that is not really fragile, but it can be broken with enough force. This also seemed to tell a bit of a story(story isn't the right word, I don't think). Great write.
