Snow

Snow

A Poem by Xanthous Crow

It is snowing
Dropping from the sky
Each flake a world, a dream

Here I lay
Numbed and frostbitten
Failed snow angel

Would you lay with me?
We can watch the sky, watch the snow falling
Would you?

There are three words that are said too much...

But I've never heard them
People say them with no meaning
They're empty, hollow, not enough

I want to say them, one day
But I've never been able to
I've never been able to feel that way

Come and lay with me in the snow
We can forget the world
I need your poise and grace - you can have my anger.... or whatever you want to take

We can watch the snow fall as things stay the same for us.
