Black Hole

Black Hole

A Poem by Xanthous Crow

I'm trapped, here, in this black hole
This baleful, glowering, midnight eye
A blot, a lump, something like coal
A place where even light dies

A place that could destroy (cruel) history
Where has it gone, where is the light?
Condensed and packed with enigma and mystery
Swallowed, down, in raven-black night

I've gone and slipped through the event horizon
I think I'm nearing the end of this journey of mine
But I'm not stuck, here, I'm not frozen
Because I'm falling towards the end of time.
